Description

Taro 20 DP 40 is an SAE 40 trunk-piston marine diesel engine oil formulated with a nominal 20 BN alkalinity reserve. It provides detergency, dispersancy and dependable protection against wear, corrosion, oxidation and deposit formation in marine engine service. The SAE 40 viscosity supplies increased lubricating-film strength while the 20 BN reserve supports engines operating on distillate and lower-sulphur fuels. Effective piston and crankcase cleanliness helps reduce ring sticking, sludge accumulation and maintenance requirements. It is suitable for approved medium- and high-speed four-stroke marine engines requiring this viscosity and alkalinity level.
