Description

HYDROTHERM 46 M is a fire-resistant, Group HFC hydraulic fluid based on water-glycol, formulated for hydraulic systems operating in areas where fire hazards are a concern. Its formulation provides good wear protection, very good corrosion protection, high ageing resistance and good heat conductivity, while also offering high resistance to bacteria, fungi and yeasts. The ISO VG 46 viscosity provides a balanced lubricating film for mobile and stationary hydraulic systems, including applications in steel, metal processing, forging, casting and mining. Its water-glycol formulation is rapidly biodegradable, free from nitrite and monoethylene glycol, and provides fire-resistant performance in accordance with the 7th Luxembourg Report. HYDROTHERM 46 M fulfills and surpasses the requirements of DIN 51502: HFC, VDMA 24 317: HFC and DIN EN ISO 12922: HFC 46, with a kinematic viscosity of 46 mm²/s at 40°C and a high viscosity index of 195.
