Description

Shell Argina S2 40 is a SAE 40, BN 20 multifunctional marine crankcase lubricant developed for highly rated medium-speed trunk-piston diesel engines operating on residual, blended or distillate fuels containing up to 0.5% sulphur. Its balanced detergent and dispersant formulation helps control deposits and maintain the cleanliness of pistons, crankcases and valve decks. The oil provides dependable protection against wear and corrosion while retaining sufficient alkalinity to neutralise acidic combustion products. It also promotes the effective separation of water and contaminants in centrifugal purifiers, supporting reliable operation in marine propulsion, auxiliary and stationary power-generation engines.
