AeroShell Calibrating Fluid 2 is a closely controlled, low-viscosity petroleum reference fluid developed for testing and calibrating aviation fuel-system components. Its consistent density, viscosity and volatility characteristics help produce repeatable measurements in fuel pumps, metering units, injectors and related test equipment. Its defining purpose is precision calibration and component testing rather than operational lubrication or use as aircraft fuel. The fluid also provides suitable corrosion protection and cleanliness for approved laboratory and maintenance procedures. It meets MIL-PRF-7024 Type II requirements where specified.
