Description

Mobil Velocite Oil No. 8 is a premium ISO VG 15 spindle oil formulated for the close-tolerance bearings of machine tools and other precision equipment. Its good oxidation resistance helps control deposits, while rust, corrosion and water-separation performance preserves smooth and accurate operation. The ISO VG 15 viscosity develops increased lubricating-film strength for sleeve-type spindle bearings operating at moderate-to-high speeds and with wider clearances. It is recommended for precision grinders, lathes, jig borers and tracer mechanisms where cool bearing operation is important. It can additionally serve as a low-pressure hydraulic or circulating oil when the specified viscosity is suitable.
