Description

Shell Alexia 100 is a high-performance BN 100, SAE 50 marine cylinder lubricant formulated for low-speed, two-stroke crosshead diesel engines burning high-sulphur residual fuel. Its high alkalinity provides excellent neutralisation of acidic combustion products, helping protect cylinder liners and piston rings against corrosive wear. The formulation delivers reliable lubrication, effective deposit control and excellent piston cleanliness under demanding operating conditions. It also helps minimise mechanical wear and supports longer component life and dependable engine performance when used at the engine manufacturer’s recommended feed rate.
