Description

Taro 60 XL 40 is a premium SAE 40 trunk-piston marine diesel engine oil formulated with a nominal 60 BN alkalinity reserve for demanding residual-fuel operation. Its detergent and dispersant system helps control piston deposits, ring-zone contamination and crankcase sludge while protecting components against wear. The 60 BN reserve provides substantial acid-neutralising capacity for approved medium-speed engines burning higher-sulphur residual fuels. Strong thermal and oxidation stability helps preserve oil condition and maintain engine cleanliness throughout the recommended service interval. It is suitable for modern medium-speed four-stroke marine engines requiring an SAE 40, high-alkalinity trunk-piston lubricant.
