Description

Mobil SHC Gear 460 is a supreme-performance ISO VG 460 synthetic industrial gear oil formulated for slow-speed, heavily loaded enclosed gearboxes. Its excellent thermal and oxidation stability helps control sludge, varnish and deposits during extended high-temperature service. The ISO VG 460 viscosity provides substantial film thickness for high-load gear teeth and bearings exposed to severe shock loading or reduced operating speeds. Robust micropitting, scuffing and wear protection promotes long component life, while low traction can improve mechanical efficiency and limit heat generation. It is suitable for demanding spur, helical, bevel and selected worm-gear applications.
