Description

Castrol Optigear Synthetic CT 320 is a synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO)-based gear oil formulated for demanding enclosed gear applications, particularly wind-turbine gearboxes operating across wide variations in temperature and humidity. Its advanced gear-oil additive system provides strong protection against wear, shock loading and micro-pitting, while its high viscosity index supports reliable performance across a broad temperature range. The ISO VG 320 viscosity provides a heavy lubricating film for highly loaded gear systems. It also offers excellent thermal and oxidation stability, corrosion protection, water separation and demulsification, helping extend lubricant and equipment service life. In addition to wind-turbine gearboxes, it is suitable for heavy-duty enclosed gears and bearings in demanding environments including mining, quarrying, marine and paper-production applications. It meets DIN 51517 Part 3 requirements and is classified as DIN CLP.
