SHELL MELINA S 30

Description

Shell Melina S 30 is a high-performance SAE 30 multifunctional lubricant developed for the crankcase and piston-cooling systems of highly rated, low-speed marine diesel engines. Its multifunctional formulation can also lubricate turbochargers, geared transmissions, oil-lubricated stern tubes, deck machinery and other ancillary equipment, helping reduce the number of lubricant grades carried onboard. Its 5 BN alkalinity helps neutralize corrosive combustion acids entering the system, while good detergency maintains clean crankcases and under-piston spaces. Strong oxidation stability, corrosion protection, water separation, air-release and antifoaming properties support extended oil life and dependable machinery operation. Its extreme-pressure performance also enables use in suitable marine gear applications; however, it is not recommended for trunk-piston engines.
