Description

Shell Argina S4 40 is a SAE 40, BN 40 multifunctional crankcase lubricant for highly rated medium-speed trunk-piston diesel engines operating on residual fuel. It is specially formulated for high oil-stress conditions, including heavily loaded engines with low oil consumption. Its oxidation resistance and ability to retain BN help extend oil life and reduce the need for oil sweetening. High detergency provides excellent cleanliness of crankcases, valve decks and pistons while controlling deposits in critical areas such as piston undercrowns. Its high-detergency, low-dispersancy formulation enables the effective removal of water and contaminants through centrifugal separators.
