Description

OPTIGEAR BM 460 is a high-performance extreme-pressure industrial gear oil formulated with Castrol’s Microflux Trans (MFT) Plastic Deformation technology. The MFT additive system promotes controlled micro-smoothing of gear surface roughness under appropriate load and temperature conditions, helping reduce friction and provide strong protection against wear, scuffing and shock loading. The formulation provides high load-carrying capacity and helps limit the progression of micropitting in pre-damaged gears, making it suitable for heavily loaded industrial gears and bearings operating under demanding conditions. The ISO VG 460 viscosity provides a heavy lubricating film for high-load applications. It is suitable for industrial gears and bearings operating under normal to extreme conditions and is compatible with non-ferrous metals, conventional paints and sealing materials.
