Description

Shell Mysella S5 N 40 is a premium SAE 40, low-ash lubricant formulated for highly rated four-stroke, spark-ignition stationary gas engines operating on natural gas. Its advanced resistance to oxidation, nitration, viscosity increase and acid formation enables extended oil-drain intervals in high-oil-stress applications, particularly combined heat and power systems. Excellent deposit control and piston cleanliness help prevent engine knocking and support operation at full load and optimum efficiency. Its low-ash and low-phosphorus formulation protects valves and spark plugs, maintains emission-catalyst compatibility and promotes cleanliness in turbochargers, intercoolers and heat-recovery boilers. It may also be used in selected landfill-gas and biogas applications with appropriate OEM approval.
