Shell Omala S4 WE 460 is an advanced ISO VG 460 synthetic polyalkylene glycol gear oil engineered for slow-moving, heavily loaded industrial worm-drive systems. Its high-viscosity lubricant film and inherently low friction provide robust surface separation and efficient operation in high-ratio, high-torque worm gears. Excellent thermal and oxidation resistance supports extended oil-drain intervals, while strong protection against wear, micropitting and corrosion promotes long component life in severe environments. The product is fully approved by Bonfiglioli and meets DIN 51517-3 CLP requirements.
