Description

Shell Turbo T 68 is a high-quality ISO VG 68 zinc-free mineral turbine oil developed for steam, hydroelectric and suitable light-duty gas turbine applications. It provides excellent resistance to oxidation, sludge and deposit formation while protecting equipment against rust and corrosion. Its higher ISO VG 68 viscosity maintains a stronger lubricating film in heavily loaded or warmer-running turbine bearings and is specifically recognised for suitable ABB VTR.4 turbocharger applications. Effective demulsibility, rapid air release, foam control and good filterability support clean and reliable circulation-system performance. The oil may also be used in compressors, pumps and other industrial equipment requiring an ISO VG 68 R&O lubricant without enhanced gear-wear additives.
