Description

Shell Corena S4 R 68 is an advanced ISO VG 68 synthetic compressor oil formulated for oil-flooded and oil-injected rotary sliding-vane and screw air compressors operating under severe conditions. Its higher viscosity provides a stronger lubricating film for equipment requiring an ISO VG 68 oil, while its advanced additive system supports maintenance intervals of 10,000 hours and up to 12,000 hours under permitted operating conditions. Excellent thermal and oxidation stability resists oil degradation and deposit formation at discharge pressures above 25 bar and temperatures exceeding 100°C. Rapid air release, foam control and excellent water separation help maintain compressor efficiency and continuous air availability. It also provides strong protection against wear and corrosion and is approved for ABB VTR.4 turbochargers with a 5,000-hour oil-drain interval and GEA Westfalia separators.
